One week ago Mat and his Mom drove to the aid of his sister and her family as they moved house in Reading.
They’d been in the old house for 14 years!
Have you moved after that amount of time?
Any idea exactly how much or what you’d accumulate in all those years?
I wouldn’t have a clue.
And neither did they.
It was A LOT of…‘stuff’!
It was no mean feat moving a family of four.
Especially when they didn’t get the keys until after 5pm!
Can you imagine not getting the keys to your new home til that late in the day?!
They all worked extremely hard to complete the big move, kids included.
Everything had to be packed into a large van, a smallish car and Mat’s van.
When he arrived his sister said “we aren’t going to fit everything in”.
Mat’s van is now nicknamed The TARDIS!
Just as Dr Who wouldn’t be the same without his iconic machine, Mat’s beloved van did him proud.
And they got in to the new house OK.
All people and all ‘stuff’ moved.
Phew!
His sister and her family were very, very grateful for Mat’s and The TARDIS’ help.
Mat returned home Saturday, slightly exhausted but pleased he’d been able to give his sister a helping hand.
His sister had realised they’d need more people and transport.
And she knew that she could call on her mom and brother.
Moving was a fairly simple problem to solve in the end.
