What Does ‘Local’ Mean?

by | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Buy local. Support local. Two phrases that we hear day in, day out. But what exactly does ‘local’ mean?

In a relatively small country (you can fit the UK into Australia 32 times, and into the state of Texas 2.8 times), the word local may seem overly provincial to some people. To us, local can mean supporting clients on our doorstep or slightly further afield.

Being based in Cannock in the heart of the West Midlands, we’re perfectly placed to be considered a local business way beyond our hometown. The majority of our customers are either West Midlands or Staffordshire based, but the best thing about Cannock is that it has great road links to the whole of the UK, which makes visiting customers a piece of proverbial cake.

Approximate driving times from Cannock –

  • Birmingham – 40 minutes
  • Stoke on Trent – 45 minutes
  • Coventry – 40 minutes
  • Lichfield – 20 minutes
  • Walsall – 25 Minutes
  • Wolverhampton – 30 minutes
  • Stafford – 20 minutes
  • Tamworth – 30 minutes

Call us old-fashioned but we like to get to know our customers. There’s nothing better than seeing ideas come to life in the space that they’re ultimately going to end up in. We don’t want our customers to think of us as just another anonymous company, where everything is automated, and nobody takes responsibility for customer service.

We really missed face-to-face meetings during the pandemic. We were fortunate enough to still be working but there’s only so many Zoom and Teams  calls you can take. Whilst they still have their place, and yes, they can be a bonus when the diary is stretched, there’s nothing like meeting face-to-face, without buffering, Wi-Fi dropouts or the shopfloor team bounding into the office when they need something.

We are proud of our service, from the initial enquiry, and throughout the entire journey of the project. With our commitment to great communication, our customers know that we’re at the end of the phone when they need us. Helping our clients is what keeps us smiling and knowing that we’ll pull out all the stops to deliver on time, and on budget for them is what’s helped Personalised Nation to build a reputation based on excellent service.

So, the next time you’re in need of premium signage and graphics think about your friendly, local, approachable team at Personalised Nation. We can’t wait to jump in the van, hit the highway and talk business over a cuppa.
