Well, not quite run, more of a brisk walk.
But as they say:
“Out with the old and in with the new”
“New year, new me”
And all that jazz!
Now I’m not one for New Year resolutions to be honest.
I think they are a waste of time.
But having used the last 2 lockdowns and an excuse to eat and drink what I like, it’s definitely time to get my butt into gear.
And the main instigator for this is walking, yomping, trekking.
It started off with walking to work, it is only a mile away so I should be doing that anyway.
But now, on my way home I’m taking some detours and walking for about 1.5 hours.
It’s only two weeks in and I feel so much better.
There’s even a little competition going on.
Nation V Nation – between myself and Kelly.
Seeing who drinks the most water, who walks the furthest, who burns the most calories.
Game on!
I’ll let you know how that pans out.
I’ve even brought myself some walking boots.
Who’d have thought it ay?

I finally finished it last Sunday, woo hoo.
Mission accomplished!
