Last weekend we escaped far, far away…
To the wonderful Peak District!
We went camping in Bakewell!
We had lots of fun, ate great food, walked it all off and, yes enjoyed the fantastic sunny weather on a Bank Holiday!
If you haven’t been, then you should definitely put it on your list.
It’s got beautiful scenery, long walks and a VERY famous pudding.
The question was… did we get a Bakewell pudding or a Bakewell tart??
Well, we had both.
We knew we loved Bakewell tart but the Bakewell pudding was a bit of a gamble.
When we visited Bakewell last year, we ended up buying the famous pudding from an ‘unfamous’ area outside of the town.
We were not impressed.
Something was not quite right.
Why so ‘famous’?
This year, with that in mind, we bought a Bakewell Pudding from Bakewell.
And OMG.
Wow.
There was such a difference!
Light, tasty, delicious.
That’s why it’s so famous.
The clue was in the name.
We should have known better!
Only buy the famous Bakewell Pudding from the experts in Bakewell.
Lesson learnt.
It got us thinking.
Why would you buy from people who aren’t the experts?
Why not put your trust in experts, like those in Bakewell?
Or us?
