Ok, maybe that is pushing it.
Back in January, after a year of lockdown food, we decided that we were going to take the plunge.
That’s right. We were going to eat healthily!
Mat and I decided that the time was right for us to shift a few kilos and see if we can add some movement into our lives that went beyond running around after the kids!
Taking a leaf out of some health books, we switched across to plant based food and, honestly, it tastes amazing!
It does help that I am a good cook (Mat may disagree, but he does want to eat tonight…)
Combined with our fancy new dinners is exercise.
As Mat mentioned a while ago, he’s started running!
I know, I was shocked too but here we are and he’s doing really well.
I didn’t think running was for me so I started walking, something I actually now love doing!
All of this has led to some brilliant results, in us losing a combined 14.9kg and 25 ½ cm of fat!
We feel much better in ourselves and we are looking good if I do say so myself.
When March came around I jumped at the chance to take part in a charity challenge.
Across the 31 days, I was going to walk a marathon along with Nanny Sue, whilst raising money for The Katherine Allport Foundation
I lost a friend to breast cancer and her husband set up this amazing charity in her name, helping others in Staffordshire who are going through chemotherapy.
I was honoured to do my bit to help!
So, as well as raising money for a great charity, we’re now eating better, moving more and we can safely say this change is for good!
It also made us think about our business goals.
Sometimes, it’s easy to get lost in the day to day work, but taking a step back and looking at what you want to achieve is something everyone should do.
So, as the country opens up and you start planning your events, or moving into bigger premises, we’ll be right behind you ready to help you with your signage, print and displays!
The right print will live long in the memory of any visitors so why not give me a call on 01543 677794 or email me at kelly@personalised-nation.co.uk and let us help you hit those goals!
